François Bayrou announced on Sunday, June 29, that the government would take responsibility after the failure of talks between social partners on pension reform. He will revisit the points of agreement that emerged from the discussions in September. He has not yet made any pronouncements on his decisions regarding the issues that have blocked a final agreement.
